3D Secure (3DS) is an extra layer of protection for online payments. It helps verify that you, the true cardholder, are the one making the transaction.
You can use your YouTrip card to pay merchants that support 3D Secure authentication. Whether 3DS is required depends on the merchant or website you’re paying on.
How does 3DS works:
- When you enter your YouTrip card details (card number, expiry date, and CVV) during an online purchase, the merchant’s site may trigger a 3DS verification pop-up.
- You’ll receive a push notification from the YouTrip app asking you to authorise the transaction.
- Open the app, tap the notification, and log in.
- Review the transaction details, such as the amount and merchant name, shown in the authentication screen.
- Slide to approve the payment, or tap Reject if it wasn’t you.
Once the authentication is complete, you’ll be redirected back to the merchant’s website to finalise your purchase.
