- Use your Physical YouTrip card to make contactless, chip-in, or magnetic stripe payments.
- When possible, pay using contactless.
If contactless isn’t available, use chip insertion first, and magnetic stripe only as a last resort.
Online purchases
- You can use either your Physical or Virtual YouTrip card for online purchases.
- You can also add your Physical or Virtual YouTrip card to Apple Pay (starting 18 November) or Google Pay to make quick and secure payments through your mobile wallet.
Always check out in the merchant’s local currency (for example, GBP £ instead of AUD $) to avoid unnecessary Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) fees.
