Follow the MRZ format
To ensure your name is entered correctly, refer to the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ), the two lines of characters at the bottom of your passport photo page.
The MRZ shows your name in a structured format using chevrons < to separate each part of your name. This helps you identify the correct order of your last name, first name, and middle name (if any).
Double chevrons
<<indicate the start of your last name.Single chevrons
<separate your first and middle names.
If your MRZ shows a single chevron < between your name parts, your name may be treated as a single given name, and you may enter it under Last Name in the YouTrip app.
By following the MRZ as your reference, you can avoid common name-matching issues and ensure a smooth verification process.
Ensuring your name matches your document exactly will help us process your verification smoothly and without delays.
